OPEN DAY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALY!<\/h2>\n

An open day for the general public organized on Monday, 23rd of May 2022, at the University of Thessaly (UTH), and more specifically at the the university\u2019s Greenhouse facilities, at Velestino, Greece.<\/p>\n

Farmers, agriculturists, researchers, academics and students, interested in the primary sector and the agriculture, expressed an extended interest in visiting the open field and greenhouse facilities of UTH, and in exploring the new techniques which are being applied in the greenhouses, regarding the management, recycling and circular economy.<\/p>\n

The aim of this event has been the presentation of the activities of the Laboratory, within the context of PestNu (H2020), and other research projects, taking place in the facilities of the Pilot Greenhouse Park, and also the networking among the participants, who had the opportunity to have fruitful discussions with each other, regarding the utilization of the research outcomes and also the needs for further research.<\/p>\n

The Pilot Greenhouse Park is equipped with up to date, high-tech greenhouse units and more than 7 European and National funded projects are taking place in its facilities (PestNu (H2020), Organic PLUS (H2020), PreciMed (PRIMA), ORION (Solar-Era.Net), FoodOASIS (National Funded), Alga4Fuel&Aqua (National Funded), FOTOKIPIA (National Funded), CasH and others).<\/p>\n
